It's confirmed! Salman Khan and Aamir Khan will not compete with each other at the box office in December.

Earlier, it was reported that their much-awaited films would clash at the box office as Salman had decided to release his film "Jai Ho" on 31 December, 10 days after the release of Aamir's "Dhoom 3".

Sohail Khan who helms "Jai Ho" has put an end to the rumours by confirming the release date of the film.

"Yes, the film is titled Jai Ho. Mental was only a working title. We always knew we'd change it. Jai Ho was a title that my father liked. Now by the grace of God, we're all set to release the film on Jan 24," DNA quoted Sohail as saying.

"Dhoom 3" is all set to hit screens worldwide during Christmas. Zoom TV citing a source reported that "Salman might give a tough competition to Aamir by releasing his film during the New Year eve."

Aamir and Salman had earlier reached a deal wherein their films wouldn't clash at the box office. But Salman had backed out of their agreement after "Chennai Express" shattered all box office records, Zoom TV reported.

Despite this, Salman and Aamir are still the best buddies in B-Town. Now "Jai Ho" will release one month after "Dhoom 3".

As for Aamir and Yash Raj Films, Sohail's confirmation of the release date comes as good news as "Dhoom 3" will get to enjoy the box office run till 10 January 2014 when other films are lined up for release. However, Salman's fan will have to wait for longer as none of his films are releasing in the next two months.
