Popular Southern actor Sai Kumar and Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal are essaying the roles of Junior NTR's father and uncle, respectively, in director Koratala Siva's upcoming Telugu movie "Janatha Garage".
Written by Koratala Siva, "Janatha Garage" is touted to be an emotional action entertainer about a guy who makes peace between his father and uncle whose families separated over a rift. It was reported earlier that Mohanlal would play the uncle of Junior NTR's character in the movie.
"Sai Kumar will be seen as NTR's father and Mohanlal will be seen as his uncle. This is a family drama and it focuses on the relationship between Sai Kumar and Mohanlal and the rift that separates their families apart," a source told IANS.
"Srimanthudu"-fame Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Mohan CV are producing "Janatha Garage" under the banner Mythri Movies. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen are playing the female leads, while Brahmaji, Benarjee, Ajay, Sitara, Devayani and Gunaji will appear in the supporting cast.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for the songs and the background score of "Janatha Garage", while Thiru will handle the camera work. The movie will have Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing, Anal Arasu's action choreography and AS Prakash's art direction.
"Janatha Garage" was formally launched on Oct. 25, 2015, and the film unit kick-started its regular shooting Monday morning. Junior NTR is likely to join the team on March 5. The makers of the film have planned to complete its shooting as early as possible and release it on August 12.
