Home-bred mobile-maker Smartron launched the much-awaited Sachin Tendulkar-inspired handset srt.phone in New Delhi on May 3.
Unlike the t.phone, the new Smartron srt.phone is a mid-range phone and comes with metal-clad body. It features 5.5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 shield.
Under the hood, it houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS (upgradable to Android O), 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage and a 3,000mAh battery.
It also boasts a feature-rich 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and on the front, it comes packed with a decent 5MP snapper with wide-angle view of field feature, which will be very helpful for group selfies.

Smartron srt.phone comes in two storage variants—32GB and 64GB—for Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 13,999 respectively. It will be made available in Titanium Gray colour option exclusively on Flipkart.
As part of launch offer, the company is giving up to Rs. 13,000 discount on exchange with old phones and a free back cover with Sachin Tendulkar signature engraved on it, for a limited period.
Smartron srt.phone will be up against the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo Moto G5 Plus, Lenovo K6 Note, the K6 Power, Huawei Honor 6X and Asus Zenfone 3s Max, among others.
