Director SS Rajamouli, who is basking in the success of "Baahubali: the Beginning", says he wants to watch Gunasekhar and Anushka Shetty's "Rudhramadevi" (also spelt as Rudrama Devi) in both 3D and 2D formats.

SS Rajamouli is one of the very few directors in Telugu film industry, who keeps an eye out for first look posters, teasers and trailers of every small and big movie. The "Baahubali" director never misses a chance to laud the cast and crew of a movie, if he is impressed with the promos. His Twitter handle has ample number of instances of it.

Few days after the release of "Baahubali: the Beginning", SS Rajamouli went on a month long trip to US, Bali and South Korea. He spent a few days on work, and spent the rest of the time vacationing. 

Soon after returning to India on 5 October, SS Rajamouli was going through the updates in Telugu film industry, when the Hindi trailer of "Rudhramadevi" caught his attention. The director was impressed with the video and took to his Twitter handle to praise Anushka Shetty, who he fondly addresses as Sweety. Meanwhile, he also revealed his plans to watch the Gunasekhar directed movie.

On 7 October, SS Rajamouli tweeted, "Latest Hindi trailer from #Rudhramadevi is quite impressive. Sweety looks regal. What screen presence. The inside news is that 3D quality is Fantastic. Even though I want to watch in 2D everyone in family forced me to watch it in 3D. Guess I have to watch it twice..:)"

Made on budget of Rs 80 crore, "Rudhramadevi" is a historical film based on the life of Rudrama Devi, one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau. The movie has been simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in dubbed in Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.

Interestingly, actress Anushka Shetty, who played the female lead in "Baahubali", is playing the title role in "Rudhramadevi", which has been in production for over two years now. With its promos garnering lot of attention from the audience across the world, the movie is set to release in theatres on 9 October. It is expected to be the next big hit after "Baahubali" and "Srimanthudu".
