Gunasekhar's highly-anticipated Telugu movie, "Rudhramadevi" (also spelled as Rudrama devi), has cleared the formalities of the Censor Board and is now gearing up for a grand release around the world on 9 October.

The makers of "Rudhramadevi" recently held a special screening for the officials of the Censor Board. A team consisting of Vaddepalli Krishna, Vanaja Uday, Lalita Iyer, Tekulaa Maheshwer Rao and Vijakumar Reddy Thumma watched the film and issued U/A certificate.

The officials of the Censor Board were happy with the film and praised Gunasekhar, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun for their wonderful work. Sources from the Board say that the movie has an interesting script, sterling performances by actors and brilliant production values made on par with Hollywood standards.

"Rudhramadevi", a historical movie, was made on a whopping budget of Rs 80 crore. The movie is based on the life of Rudrama Devi, one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau. Actress Anushka Shetty has played the title role in the film, while Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun appear as Chalukya Veerabhadra and Gona Gannareddy respectively.

Maestro Ilayaraja has composed the music for the soundtracks and background score of the film. His work is going to be one of the major highlights of the film. Megastar Chiranjeevi has reportedly given voice-over for some important sequences. Along Allu Arjun's role, his voice-over will be a treat for fans.

The movie was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The film has a runtime of 158 minutes (2.45 hours) and will be released in 3D and 2D formats in four languages on 9 October.
