Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower are rumoured to have split after more than 20 years of marriage. The news about their breakup has received a mixed reaction from netizens on social media.
Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower first met in 1987, when she was working at Mr. Chow in London. After dating for over a decade, the two tied the knot in 1997 and have 2 children together, 20-year-old son Elliot and 6-year-old daughter Helen. Their relationship hit a rough patch after two years into their union.
Robert filed for divorce in 1999, but they never went all the way through with it. The couple renewed their wedding vows in 2004, in front of a star-studded crowd including Meryl Streep, Ben Stiller and Martin Scorsese. Now, it is rumoured that the two are no longer living together and they are said to publicly announce their split in the coming weeks.
