"Going forward, we are confident of maintaining the sales momentum, as we strategically work
towards expanding our sales and service network in India," he said in the statement.

The company has been aggressively selling its other models also, enhancing features.

For instance, after making cosmetic upgrades and adding AMT transmission option for its SUV Duster, the company unveiled four custom accessories pack -- Sport, Essential, Chrome and Outdoor.

Renault India is a wholly-subsidiary of Renault S.A.S. France.

Most carmakers in India have begun the new financial year on a positive note, registering decent volume growth in domestic car sales. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor and Mahindra & Mahindra have posted high growth during the month, though exports witnessed a decline or muted growth.
