Trouble seems to be mounting for Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is currently facing controversies on multiple fronts. On one hand, the actor has reportedly been banned by the FWICE after allegedly exiting Don 3 abruptly.
The move reportedly caused losses of around Rs 45 crore to filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, following which the producers sought intervention from FWICE and allegedly demanded compensation from the actor.
A day after FWICE's reported decision, Ranveer Singh was spotted at the airport dressed in a traditional white kurta-pyjama paired with a Nehru jacket. Wearing a face mask, the actor avoided the paparazzi.
Ranveer Singh visits temple after Kantara tow, Don 3 storm
A few hours later, a video of Ranveer offering prayers at the Chamundeshwari Temple surfaced online and quickly went viral. The visit comes weeks after the Karnataka High Court asked the actor to issue an unconditional apology in the Kantara mimicry case after reviewing his revised affidavit in April.

Ranveer complied with the court's observations by visiting the temple and offering special prayers to Goddess Chamundeshwari. Reports claimed the visit was largely kept under wraps. The actor reportedly entered the sanctum sanctorum and later the garbhagudi to perform rituals.
The controversy began after Ranveer recreated the Daiva scene from Kantara during the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India in Goa on November 30, 2025. The original sequence featured actor-director Rishab Shetty and is considered spiritually and culturally sensitive by many in the Kannadiga community.
Soon after the clip went viral on social media, Ranveer faced massive backlash for allegedly mocking a sacred tradition. The actor later addressed the controversy through an Instagram post and apologised for hurting sentiments.

"My intention was to highlight Rishab's incredible performance in the film. Actor to actor, I know how much it takes to perform that particular scene the way he did, for which he has my utmost admiration," Ranveer wrote.
"I have always deeply respected every culture, tradition, and belief in our country. If I've hurt anyone's sentiments, I sincerely apologise," he added.
Rishab Shetty later indirectly reacted to the controversy during a public event, saying the Daiva tradition is emotionally sacred and should not be casually recreated or performed on stage.
"That makes me uncomfortable. While much of the film is cinema and performance, the Daiva element is sensitive and sacred. Wherever I go, I request people not to perform it on stage or mock it. It is emotionally deeply connected to us," he had said.
In February, Ranveer Singh approached the Karnataka High Court seeking relief after an FIR was filed against him for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Kannadiga community through mimicry. At the time, the court directed authorities not to take any coercive action against the actor.
Meanwhile, the actor's temple visit also comes amid the ongoing standoff between him and FWICE over unresolved issues related to Don 3. Shortly after the film workers' body reportedly directed its members and technicians not to work with Ranveer until the matter was resolved, the actor issued a statement through his spokesperson.
"While several narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead," the statement read.
It further added that Ranveer continues to hold deep respect and goodwill for everyone associated with the franchise and wishes it continued success.
Amid the controversies, Ranveer has also received support from fans online.
Sanjay Gupta took to X on Tuesday and wrote, "When an A-list hero shoots, there are more than 300 workers working on sets. Ban him, and you are not stopping him, but depriving the workers of their livelihood. What sense does it even make? (sic)." A film unit comprises many crew members who often work on daily wages, including spot boys, light men, junior artistes and many others who get paid only at the end of the day. On sets with bigger stars, there is usually a bigger crew in place to attend to every need that might arise.
Recently, Varun Dhawan and filmmaker David Dhawan were seen discussing how films function in today's industry.
During the conversation, David Dhawan remarked that actors often play a bigger role in determining a film's success. Varun, however, cited Dhurandhar and filmmaker Aditya Dhar as examples of director-driven success.
Soon after the clip surfaced online, several social media users accused Varun of undermining Ranveer Singh's contribution to Dhurandhar. Fans defended Ranveer, with many calling him the standout performer of the film and praising his screen presence and acting skills.
