Rani Mukherji's appearances at the dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" ("JDJ") season seven sparked her pregnancy rumours, but the actress has rubbished all the reports.

Mukherji, who got married to Yash Raj Films chairman Aditya Chopra, has made headlines for her weight gain and health problems.

The actress recently appeared on the sets of "JDJ" to promote her upcoming film "Mardaani." Due to her health issues, she came to the set very late and the judges took extra care of her throughout the show, The Times of India reported.

Apparently, Mukherji also asked for an extra cushion to give rest to her back.

Earlier this month, in an interview with Bombay Times, the actress said that she wants to start a family soon.

"Of course, as that is why we are married. And I want to expect soon. Every woman is born to procreate and God has given us that magic power to bring another human being into the world. So, why should we not use that and play God for once," she said.

But the reports gained momentum when she appeared on the dance show to promote her film. Mukherji looked chubbier than usual in her black and gold anarkali. However, an official statement from the actress's spokesperson has confirmed that she is not expecting.

"We were astonished to know of false information doing the rounds on Ms Mukerji. She is suffering from a severe case of viral fever and with great difficulty she went ahead with her prior commitment to visit the sets of 'Jhalak dikhla Jaa' as a part of promotions of Mardaani and completed all that was required of her on set. Her sheer professionalism is what made it possible for her to shoot. Request you to not resort to unnecessary conjecture," the spokesperson said in a statement, according to IndiaGlitz.

Mukherji is making public appearances nowadays to promote her film "Mardaani," which is set to release on 22 August worldwide. Mukherji will be seen playing the role of a crime branch officer in the film produced under the Yash Raj Banner.
