Rani Mukerji sat down for a chat with Karan Johar in Yash Raj Films' studios as she marked thirty years in the industry. From praising Aditya Chopra's humility, her journey in the industry to declaring daughter Adira Chopra as father-in-law Yash Chopra's reincarnation; Rani was at her candid best. Rani took pride as she spoke about her daughter and how creative she is.
Adira a reincarnation
Rani called Adira truly "Yash Chopra's granddaughter". She praised her daughter's storytelling capabilities and said she gets it from the Chopras. "She is truly Yash Chopra's granddaughter. Sometimes I honestly feel she might be Yash Chopra's reincarnation. Because she reminds me so much about Yash uncle. She is very creative. She writes extremely well and is a wonderful storyteller. I think she gets it from Yash uncle and from her dad," Rani said at the event.
The 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actress further went on to say that that husband Aditya Chopra doesn't have even a bit of pride or ego being such a big filmmaker or Yash Chopra's son. Rani spoke about how Aditya carries on to be a simple human being and enjoys simple backgrounds.
Aditya Chopra's simplicity
"He likes to be really basic in his life every day, and that's a very endearing quality he has. I come from a very humble and simple background. The way he respected his parents and the way he went about his daily life really attracted me to him. He didn't carry the baggage of being Yash Chopra's son or that of being such a prolific filmmaker. If he had even an iota of ego, I don't think I would have ever fallen for him," she said.
Karan Johar also read out the letter written by Adira for Rani, leaving the actress emotional. In the cute but funny letter, Adira wrote how she has the same creativity like Rani and also possesses the same short temper like her mother.
