Rajjat Barjatya, CEO Of Rajshri Media and Sooraj Barjatya's cousin, dies; Salman Khan, Shirish Kunder and others mourn his death

Rajjat Barjatya, director Sooraj Barjatya's cousin and MD and CEO of Rajshri Media, passed away at around 6.30 pm on Friday at a hospital in Mumbai. Rajjat was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Jaslok hospital near Breach Candy in Mumbai.

"He passed away today evening at 6.45. He was here in the hospital for last 10 to 12 days," a source from the hospital told IANS.

Rajjat had Leukemia and was ill for the past three months. "The family also tried to get a bone marrow transplant done, but things didn't fall into place," Spotboye quoted a source.

Rajjat belonged to a filmi family and helped the business of Rajshri media expand. He was a part of Rajshri media's superhit movies "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun," "Hum Saath Saath Hain" and others. He was the brain behind the digital promotion of Salman Khan-starrer "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo."

Rajjat's death has come as a shock to several in the film industry. Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Boman Irani, trade expert Taran Adarsh, Shirish Kunder and Richa Chadha expressed their grief and shock over the death of Rajjat.
