Recently, it was reported that AR Murugadoss met the megastar over a possible project. Now, another bigwig from Kollywood has reportedly approached Thalaiva. And it is none other than KS Ravikumar.
The ace filmmaker, who has worked with Rajinikanth in the past on some blockbusters, has approached the 67-year-old actor with a script. The rumours suggest that the talks are still in the initial stages and it could take months before a formal announcement is made.
Taking the track record of KS Ravikumar, Rajinikanth might not think twice before giving the nod to act in his movie, the reports add. However, their last movie Lingaa, despite its grandeur and decent storyline, bombed at the box office.
Moreover, Rajinikanth has started preferring young directors to veteran filmmakers these days. Considering this factor it has to be seen whether the superstar will give a nod to KS Ravikumar's next movie.
KS Ravikumar and Rajinikanth's combo had blockbusters in the form of Muthu and Padayappa.
The veteran actor is currently working on Karthik Subbaraj's next movie, produced by Sun Pictures. The Tamil superstar was approached recently by AR Murugadoss for an action thriller.
