Jr NTR's "Rabhasa", which took a grand opening on the first day, has witnessed a drop in its collections.

"Rabhasa" minted ₹8.85 crore share at AP/Nizam box office on the first day. The film took the best ever opening of 2014 and is also placed third in the list of highest day one shares of all time in AP/Nizam box office.

However, "Rabhasa" business seems to be declining in the last two days despite enjoying a solo release. The long weekend should have boosted the film's business, but there were considerable drops in its collections on Saturday as well as on Sunday.

The action entertainer is said to have earned around ₹3 crore share on Saturday, while it again dropped on Sunday. "Rabhasa" is estimated to have raked in ₹2.9 crore share at the AP/Nizam box office on Sunday, reported Andhraboxoffice. Its opening weekend collection is expected to be around ₹15 crore share.

The film's poor performance on Sunday has surprised many. It needs to be seen whether "Rabhasa" will pick up and show some improvement in the coming days.

The film will have only one week open run, after which it will be facing a big competition from Ravi Teja's "Power."

It remains to be seen whether the NTR starrer manages to hold well despite the release of "Power", which is carrying positive pre-release buzz. If "Power" impresses the audience, then the Teja starrer might outperform "Rabhasa" and dominate the screens.

"Rabhasa" Collections in the US

The NTR starrer has done a decent business in the US, where Telugu films have a huge market.

The film has minted $279K in the first three days, including Thursday previews at the US box office.

"Rabhasa gross in USA so far - Thurs:$96K, Fri $81K, Sat $102K total-$279K," Jeevi of Idlebrain tweeted.

NTR's 2013-release "Baadshah" surpassed the $1 million mark. Whether "Rabhasa" will be able achieve the feat is something one needs to wait and watch.

Directed by Santhosh Srinivas of "Kandireega" fame, "Rabhasa" has NTR, Samantha, Pranitha, Nassar, Jayasudha and Sayaji Shinde in pivotal roles. Brahmanandam provides the comic relief in this action entertainer.
