Jr NTR's "Rabhasa" has opened to a fantastic start at the AP/Nizam box office.

"Rabhasa" minted ₹8.85 crore share on the opening day, according to Andhraboxoffice. To look at the areas-wise collections, click HERE.

The NTR starrer has taken the best ever opening of 2014 so far, while it has turned out to be the second best opener for NTR.

While "Rabhasa"  failed to beat "Baadshah" opening day collections, which amount to ₹9.25 crore, it has surpassed the first day collections of Ram Charan's "Yevadu" and NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" figures, which stand at₹ 8.65 crore and ₹8.7 crore respectively.

"Rabhasa" has taken the third spot in the list of top 10 films with highest AP/Nizam share of all time. Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" tops the list, while "Baadshah" is in the second spot.

"Rabhasa" received decent reviews from critics who have termed it as a typical commercial entertainer. After a fantastic first day performance, "Rabhasa" is doing strong business on the second day with several theatres running house full shows.

The NTR starrer is expected to continue its good run on Sunday and end the opening weekend on a grand note. The film will have a one-week open run, after which it will face strong competition from Ravi Teja's "Power", which will hit the screens on 5 September.

Directed by Santhosh Srinivas, "Rabhasa" has NTR, Samantha and Pranitha in lead roles. The film also has Jayasudha, Sayaji Shinde, Brahmanandam, Seetha and Jaya Prakash Reddy in supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Thaman and cinematography is handled by Shyam K. Naidu. The NTR starrer is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh.
