Raai Laxmi Gushes about Her Role in Sonakshi-Murugadoss' 'Akira' [PHOTOS]

Popular South actress Raai Laxmi, who will debut in Bollywood through "Akira", says that her role is crucial in AR Murugadoss' female-centric film, which has Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role.

The actress recently spoke enthusiastically about her role in "Akira" without divulging much detail. "I will be making a guest appearance in the film. Though it is a cameo, my role is crucial, which is one of the reasons why I considered this project. My character is bold; it's something I haven't done before," Laxmi told The Times of India.

Raai Laxmi is all thrilled over landing this offer. "One of the casting directors had suggested my name, and Murugadoss had called me. It is been a dream to work with him. He was convinced the role would suit me and I had no reason to refuse," the actress added.

The actress has already started shooting for the movie "Akira". On 30 March, she tweeted, "To all my well-wishers and my ardent fans, I have great news for you all. Excited to share it in a bit". Later, she posted a few photos featuring her with Anurag Kashyap and AR Murugadoss on the sets of the film.

Besides posting pictures, Laxmi wrote, "Happy 2 announce my first debut in Bollywood as a guest appearance fr @ARMurugadoss sirs movie #Akira a great start it's lovely to work wit a great humbled director like @ARMurugadoss sir having superb fun on the sets with the entire team kudos #AKIRA".

She continued, "Can't expect for a better start n a lot more exciting things on its way !
