Raai Laxmi has bagged yet another special number. The hot and happening actress will now be doing a song in none other than Chiranjeevi's comeback movie Khaidi No 150.
Although Raai Laxmi is yet to open up on the song, the actress has visibly admitted by retweeting the reports related to the item number on Twitter. However, there is no update on other details about the special track.
These days, offers on special songs are pouring in for Raai Laxmi. The success of her item songs in Balupu (Lucky Lucky Rai) and Sardaar Gabbar Singh (Tauba Tauba) seems to have made producers approach her for the special tracks.
It was earlier reported that Catherine Tresa was the front runner to bag the item song in Khaidi No 150. There were also reports, which had claimed that she had given her nod to dance in the item number. Unfortunately, the actress could not take up the song at the last minute for the reasons best known to her.
Coming to Khaidi No 150, it is a remake of hit Tamil movie Kaththi starring Vijay, Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The Tamil version, which was directed by AR Murugadoss, was one of the biggest hits at the Kollywood box office in 2014. The movie narrates how a petty thief takes on a powerful establishment.
VV Vinayak is directing the movie, which has Kajal Aggarwal and Shriya Saran in the key roles. Writers Paruchuri Brothers, Sai Madhav Burra and Akula Siva, who have worked on the script, have made several changes in its screenplay to suit Chiru's image and Telugu viewers' taste.
