Director Selvaraghavan says that Pudhupettai 2 is getting completed soon and Aayirathil Oruvan 2 is not in his hands. It has to be done collectively by many people.
The sequels of Pudhupettai and Aayirathil Oruvan have been in the making for quite some time now. In a recent interview, Selvaraghavan said, "Pudhupettai 2 is slowly getting its work completed. Aayirathil Oruvan 2 is not in my hands alone. It's something that has to be done collectively by many people. The captain is ready. But can he sail the ship all by himself?"
With the advancement of technology, many things in filmmaking have become much easier. The director added, "Earlier, there was a compulsory need to spend a lot on equipment, money, and manpower. The first time, I got stuck in a film where everything I touched felt extremely difficult. Now, with the growth of technology, many of those things have become much easier. Let's see."
Talking about his acting career, Selvaraghavan said, "I used to be surprised seeing my younger brother #Dhanush moving from '#D55' to '#D56' and so on. One day, I stopped him and asked, 'How are you able to do this like this?' He simply replied, 'What else can I do, tell me?"

He added, "When I think about it now, it feels like a blessing. Earlier, as a director, I used to be very strict with actors about the level of performance I expected from them. I knew acting was difficult. But only when I started acting myself did I realize how difficult it truly is. A long time ago, Dhanush told me, 'One day, you will understand.' Only now do I understand the meaning of that. I've realized how important it is for a performance to suit a character perfectly, and how crucial it is to execute that properly."
