Police have identified one of the four revellers, who allegedly assaulted a female videographer at a pub in Daspalla Hotel, Hyderabad, as Allu Bobby - the elder brother of Allu Arjun.

The female videographer accompanied DJ Ma Faiza to shoot her birthday gig at the Over the Moon pub in Daspalla Hotel on Saturday night when four "drunk" men allegedly assaulted her. The DJ told the police that one of the assaulters was a brother of a popular Telugu actor.

As soon as the news made headlines on TV channels, it was speculated that Allu Sirish, who was present at the pub on the same night, was involved in the controversy. However, the actor denied any involvement in the pub brawl and clarified on the issue on his twitter page.

DJ Ma Faiza, who lodged a complaint with the police, has now provided the police screen grabs from the video taken from inside the pub. The police have confirmed that one of the men in the video is Allu Bobby, the elder brother of actors Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish. However, the cops are yet to ascertain the identity of the other assaulters.

"The victim and her friend had given us some pictures of the culprits (who had misbehaved with the videographer) when they registered a complaint with us. We have been checking those pictures closely and one of the persons in the pictures is Bobby," an official from the Jubilee Hills police station told The Times of India.

"On seeing the pictures, initially, we had thought that the person is Allu Sirish. But after a little more investigation, we found out that the person concerned is Bobby. Two other people, however, still remain unidentified. We are still looking at verifying their identities," the official said.

This is not the first time that Bobby, whose original name is Allu Venkat, had involved in a controversy. A few weeks ago, Bobby had reportedly flung his shoe at a DJ after he stopped playing the music at the same pub, an eyewitness told the daily.
