Tata Kite hatchback looks production ready in the latest spy shots snapped by Motor Octane, sporting a new honeycomb grille, headlamp cluster and roof spoiler.

The images also reveal the interior of the Kite with the dashboard in dual-tone black and beige, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, rectangular AC vents and a 2-DIN music system.

Expected to be priced around Rs 4 lakh, Tata Kite will take on the likes of Maruti Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10.

Under the hood, the Tata Kite hatchback, which is based on Indica's platform, is likely to have the company's new 1.05-litre three-cylinder common-rail diesel motor that can churn out a power of 64.1bhp and 14.27kgm of torque, and an all-new 1.2-litre petrol engine.

The Kite is likely to get e-clutch system similar to AMT, which allows drivers to use manual transmission for the first gear without using the clutch. There have also been rumours of an AMT variant of Kite.
