The producers of Telugu movie "Premam," starring Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan, have postponed the dates of its audio launch and movie release. Now, it will hit theatres as a Dussehra treat.

The makers had initially planned to launch the audio album of "Premam" on Aug. 24 and release the film in cinema halls across the globe on Sept. 9. They have now decided to unveil its music on Sept. 20, which happens to be the birth anniversary of late actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao aka ANR. The movie will be released in theatres in October as a Dussehra gift for fans of Akkineni family.

"Premam" is a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name, which is a coming-of-age musical-romantic comedy drama. Directed by Chandu Mondeti of "Karthikeya" fame, the love story is bankrolled by young producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner Sithara Entertainments. The producer has made an official announcement about the new dates of its audio launch and movie release.

The film unit has reportedly wrapped up the shooting of "Premam" and now its post-production work is going on at a brisk pace. Recently, the makers released the first song — "Evare" — from the movie, which has got very good response. They plan to release its music video on Aug. 29, which happens to be Nagarjuna's birthday.

"We have released "Evare," the first audio song from the movie, recently on a radio station and we are pleased to share our joy with you that the song is now topping the charts. Written by Srimani and sung by Vijay Yesudas, it has become a rage. On the occasion of Nagarjuna's birthday on August 29th, we will be releasing the video for the song as our gift to Nag's fans," Naga Vamsi said in a statement to media.

"Premam" features music by Gopi Sunder and Rajesh Murugan, with lyrics written by Rama Jogaiah Sastry, Srimani, Vanamali, Poorna and Krishna Madineni. "On September 20th, birth anniversary of legendary Akkineni Nageshwara Rao garu, we are going to launch the audio event in a grand manner in the presence of all the fans and film dignitaries," Naga Vamsi added.

"We are planning to release in the month of October as Dussera festival gift," Naga Vamsi said. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya said that this musical love story is very close to his heart and that it will impress the Telugu audience too. "It will touch everyone's heart as well," the actor asserted.

"Premam" features Anupama Parameshwaran, Madonna Sebastian, Eeshwari Rao, Jeeva, Brahmaji, Srinivasa Reddy, Prudhvi, Narra Sreenu, Praveen, Chaitanya Krishna, Aravind Krishna, Satya Karthik Prasad, Noel and Jogi Brothers in the supporting cast.
