Film and television industry members were shocked when the news of actress Pratyusha Banerjee's death broke Friday evening. Several celebrities took to Twitter to mourn the death of the "Balika Vadhu" fame actress Pratyusha.
"Sultan" actor Salman Khan, who shared screen-space with Pratyusha in reality show "Bigg Boss 7," received the news quite late, but he was in shock when he came to know that the 24-year-old actress committed suicide.
"Salman was really fond of Pratyusha. He always thought she was really young to be on the show. Even after the show got over she has attended his birthday bash at the Panvel farmhouse. So it was really shocking when he heard that she was no more," BollywoodLife.com quoted a source as saying.
Pratyusha, who started her acting with popular television show "Balika Vadhu," was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her residence in Mumbai Friday (April 1). Pratyusha's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh took her body to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital where she was declared dead.
There have been no confirmed reports as to why she committed suicide, but several media reports suggest that she had relationship problems.
