Konami, the publishers of PES 2016, has announced that it will be dropping a major update on 29 October, 2015 and the update file will be automatically downloaded to the main game.

This will be the first major update from Konami noted several reports. So what can we expect from the new update? It was noted that Konami might finally add new roster players. Lack of updated rosters had disappointed many loyal fans of PES games and hence, it is believed that the new update will be taking care of this, and will reflect real-world player forms. It has added that this will be now monitored and there will be weekly updates, VG247 reported.

Several teams from the French Ligue 1 championship and 2, Spanish leagues and the Italian Serie A will now be getting newer kits. There will also be newer and updated kits to leagues like FC Groningen, FC Utrecht, Galatasaray, Panathinaikos, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Brazil's Flamengo and Palmeiras, Argentina's Independiente, Newell's Old Boys and Velez Sarsfield.

The report also noted the addition of UEFA Champions League and Asian Champions League-specific kits.

It also claims that about 70 players have been updated via PES 2016's PES ID system. So the update will bring realistic looking players and improved animations.

It will also see the addition of new boots from Adidas, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike Football and Umbro. Reports claim that the update will also be bringing Adidas X and Ace styles, New Balance's Furon Pro, Nike's Mercurial Superfly and the UX-2 from Umbro.

Konami has not revealed what changes it will be bringing to the gameplay aspect of PES 2016.

PES 2016 was released on 15 September, 2015 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
