Jana Sena party chief, power star Pawan Kalyan has taken a dig at superstar Mahesh Babu's brother-in-law, TDP MP Jayadev Galla for his memory loss over his stand on Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.

It is known that Pawan Kalyan campaigned for BJP and TDP in the 2014 general elections but came out of the alliance later criticizing both the parties for failing to keep up their poll promise. He tweeted on July 19, "BJP & TDP had wasted a great opportunity given to them by people of AP. They could have truly stood by people instead of this political theatrics, which is causing great deal of public's valuable time, money & agony."

TDP moved a no-confidence motion against the central government on July 20, but failed in its attempt as expected. Referring to it, Pawan Kalyan tweeted: "TDP's argument is very weak & feeble in parliament session today. I feel they lacked the necessary moral fibre to take SCS demand forward as they had opposed, weakened & diluted the SCS 'cause of their special package acceptance earlier."

Pawan Kalyan added, "TDP has compromised on special category status for party & personal gains. They had lost trust of people. TDP has lost a great opportunity to win people of AP. At every stage TDP had colluded & compromised with BJP leadership on SCS. Now what they are doing is eye wash & political theatrics for public consumption."

The Union Government denied SCS to Andhra Pradesh and instead, offered special package to the state. The TDP accepted this offer and Jayadev Galla told in March 2018 that special package is better than SCS.

But the TDP MP claimed in parliament during the discussion that SCS "is everything for him." Pawan Kalyan posted pictures of both his statements and wrote, "In case If TDP has memory loss.."

In a series of tweets, Pawan Kalyan added, "Who diluted the cause of SCS? Who colluded with BJP? TDP should look back & talk. Do you give guarantee that tomorrow you will not change your stand according to your convenience? 175 MLA's, 25 Mps is not AP; every word each one of them utters & every action of theirs is accountable to 5 crores of people. A new generation has awakened, kindly don't take them as bunch of mute spectators. Like 'Ghazni' film Hero's short term memory loss, TDP also has developed 'Convenient Memory loss Syndrome'."
