Power Star Pawan Kalyan has reportedly filed a complaint against "Nannaku Prematho" producer BVSN Prasad for not paying his remuneration for "Attarintiki Daredi".

BVSN Prasad is one of the leading producers in the industry, having bankrolled movies of leading actors like Junior NTR and Prabhas. It is well known that he teamed up Pawan Kalyan for "Attarintiki Daredi" in 2013. Before the release of the film, it was reported that the Power Star was to be paid Rs 18 crore as remuneration for the film.

But on Tuesday, Pawan Kalyan approached the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) seeking help to get the part of his remuneration money pending with the producer. In his complaint with the MAA, the actor has claimed Prasad has not cleared nearly Rs 2 crore, according to Telugu Cinema.

Reports suggest BVSN Prasad had promised to pay his dues before the release of his most awaited movie "Nannaku Prematho". But with one day left for its release, Pawan found no sign of payment. The actor approached the MAA when the producer did to pay heed to his request.

In his complaint, Pawan Kalyan has sought the help of the MAA in getting his dues cleared. The association received his complaint and forwarded it to the Producers' Council on 12 January. The council has reportedly written a letter to BVSN Prasad seeking an explanation on the issue.

Pawan Kalyan has been very cooperative and supportive to his producers and directors. There are reports of he coming forward to help the producers when they landed in financial trouble. But there is hardly any report about him complaining against anyone in the industry.

Many in the industry are surprised over Pawan Kalyan approaching the MAA. However, it was reported that Balakrishna was forcing some theatre-owners to screen his film "Dictator" instead of "Nannaku Prematho". Now, some suspect the TDP is trying to halt its release through Pawan Kalyan. But others feel the Power Star is a noble man and will never be part of such dirty politics.
