Pakistani Actress Meera Lands in Trouble after Sex Video with Husband Leaks OnlineReuters

Pakistani actress Meera and her husband captain Navid Shahzad have been facing trouble after a court on Monday ordered police to arrest them in connection with their leaked sex video. The court also ordered for a proper investigation of the sex tape.

Earlier, Additional District and Sessions Judge Safdar Bhatti ordered police to arrest the couple and produce in court on 2 April. But the couple didn't appear before the court for the third consecutive hearing, Indian Express reports.

"A case should be registered against the couple in accordance with law and investigate their objectionable video," the order says.

The petition was filed by Bashir Ahmad after the video went viral among Pakistani Internet users. In his petition, Ahmad alleged that the couple had committed sin by videotaping their sexual act.

"The couple also spread obscenity in society and challenged Islamic values," Ahmad said, according to Daily Mail.

While Ahmad has demanded strict action against the couple, the actress has maintained that the video it is a fake video.

"It is a fake video as the girl in it has put on a 'Meera face mask.' The video should be sent to the US for forensic tests as Pakistan has no such facility," Meera said.

"Those making hue and cry over (our sex) video should stop propagating against us," Shahzad told Daily Mail.

The video was released in January and since then it has been posted on several websites. But after Meera's request, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has banned the access to the video.

Meera became a subject of controversy when she entered into Bollywood who made her debut in 2005 film "Nazar" directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
