Aamir Khan's "PK" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" have been creating wonders at the overseas box office.

While, "PK" is set to cross ₹150 crore mark in international arena, "Happy New Year" earned ₹100 crore.

Aamir's "PK", also called "Peekay", earned ₹148.54 crore from international arena till third weekend. Almost all the circuits in international market performed extremely well, but North America box office contributed the highest amount.

It earned $9.93 million (₹62.99 crore) from the US-Canada box office from its 17 days theatrical run. "PK" is set to cross the $10 million mark at the US-Canada box office.

The second highest contribution has been from UAE-GCC region. From the Gulf region the film made a business of approximately AED 146, 06,600 (₹25.24 crore), while from the UK-Ireland box office it minted £ 2,090,383 (₹20.21 crore).

Even from Australia and New Zealand markets, where Bollywood films don't rake in good amount, "PK" managed to earn total ₹12 crore.

From Australian box office, it raked in A$ 1,996,986 (₹10.29 crore), while from New Zealand it minted NZ$ 540,182 (₹2.64 crore) till third weekend.

"PK" underperformed only in Malaysia, where it fetched in MYR 183,556 (₹32.74 lakh), according to Bollywood Hungama.

"PK" is now the third highest grosser film globally, after "Dhoom 3" and "3 Idiots". The top three positions in the overseas list have been dominated by Aamir's movies. Thus, "PK" has shattered the records of Shah Rukh's "My Name is Khan".

If "PK" survives at box office with same pace after fourth weekend, it might even cross the ₹200 crore mark at overseas box office as well and take its worldwide nett total to ₹500 crore.

But it remains to be seen how the film will perform in its fourth week as Arjun Kapoor's "Tevar" will hit screens.

Happy New Year

Shah Rukh's "Happy New Year" has been running at the several overseas market, including Egypt and it has crossed the ₹100 crore mark globally.

"Happy New Year" is the sixth highest grosser with $16.4 million (₹100.74 crore) in the international market.
