Whether it's good or bad, publicity is publicity. On Saturday night, at an award function, actor Nikita Rawal was taken aback when a simple red carpet photo-op turned awkward and unpleasant.
It so happened that a female fan approached Nikita on the red carpet and took a selfie, and later shook hands. She then kissed her on the cheek and grabbed her before kissing the actor on her lips.
Nikita appeared comfortable with the interaction and happily posed alongside her for the cameras.
Nikita was then seen trying to stop and push the fan away, and later the security pulled the female fan away from Nikita and took her out of frame.
The unexpected moment left Nikita looking visibly awkward as she was trying to process what had just happened before the situation eventually came to an end.
Netizens weren't quite convinced by Nikita's fan forcibly locking lips with her. Many called it staged and paid PR to grab eyeballs.
Nikita Rawal has built a career across Hindi and South Indian films, with several projects to her credit. In Bollywood, the actress has appeared in movies like Black & White, Mr Hot Mr Kool, The Hero , Abhimanyu, Ammaa Ki Boli, Garam Masala and Cute Kameena.
Nikita ventured into Telugu cinema in 2012 and starred in a project titled Timpa, where she worked alongside Vikram Roy as an iccha-dhari nagin.
