Nagarjuna and Karthi starrer bilingual movie "Oopiri" (Telugu) and "Thozha" (Tamil) have collected Rs. 84.75 crore gross together at the worldwide box office in 17 days. They are now heading towards Rs. 100-crore-gross mark.

"Oopiri" and "Thozha" were released in around 1,200 screens across the globe March 25. The bilingual movie received superb opening and collected Rs. 43.10 crore at the worldwide box office in the first week. The movie was estimated to have earned a share of Rs. 26.75 crore, which was 55 percent of the distributors' investments.

Since there was no big-ticket release in the next week, "Oopiri" and "Thozha" continued their dream run everywhere. They witnessed decent collection at the box office in their second week. However, trade experts predicted that their rocking collection would be halted by Pawan Kalyan's much-awaited film "Sardar Gabbar Singh" in the third week of their release.

As predicted, "Oopiri" and "Thozha" showed big dip in their business at the ticket counters. But the negative word of mouth for "Sardar Gabbar Singh" paved way for them to continue their dream run on the following days. They showed decent growth and earned good numbers at the box office in the third weekend, taking its 17-day total collection closer to Rs. 85-crore mark.

The theatrical rights of "Oopiri" and "Thozha" were reportedly sold for Rs 43.30 crore and they are estimated to have earned over Rs. 45 crore for its distributors in 17 days. The bilingual movie has become the third film for Nagarjuna to cross the Rs. 40 crore mark.

As per the early trends, their collection is expected to cross Rs. 90-crore mark at the world wide box office by the end of their third week. They clash with another big-ticket film "Theri," starring Vijay, and "Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam" in their fourth week. It should be seen whether the Vamsi Paidipally-directed film will be able to surpass Rs. 100-crore-gross mark.

Here is the list of the estimated-area-wise gross collection of "Oopiri" and "Thozha" at the worldwide box office.
