In addition to this, OnePlus has also hinted at the impending launch of OnePlus 5 smartphone. The company has confirmed the discontinuation of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T models in select markets as early as this week, clearly to make space for the new flagship. The company has also started a referral programme to create a buzz ahead of the OnePlus 5 launch.

In other development, the company confirmed its partnership with Qualcomm to include the latest octa-core Snadpragon 835 chipset in the OnePlus 5 smartphone. The most exciting feature of OnePlus 5 is its camera- built in collaboration with DxOMark Mobile.

The Weibo post also shared purported renders of the OnePlus 5. Photos suggest the flagship smartphone will feature a vertical dual camera setup at the back along with an LED flash below it. Now, pair the dual camera setup with DxOMark Mobile's partnership and you are looking at one of the finest smartphone cameras in the industry.

Though several details about the handset have already leaked online, OnePlus 5's release date in India is still a mystery. It is possible that the handset will launch in China on June 15, and other markets including India on a later date.
