OnePlus in its bid to build excitement among fans has revealed a key feature of 2015 flagship smartphone OnePlus 2 ahead of its launch next month.
The company has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 2 will boast finger-print sensor based bio-metric technology for secured unlocking of the phone. It is said to be more advanced and faster than the Touch ID security feature found in the rival Apple iPhone 6 series.
"With the OnePlus 2, the fingerprint sensor is done right. It's refined and lightning quick, unlocking your device faster than TouchID. The average person checks their phone over 200 times per day. If you spend just three seconds inputting a PIN number or pattern, that's over an hour of your time gone each week," said the company in an official blog post.
OnePlus adds that the OnePlus 2 users can register five different finger profiles, but it declined to reveal where the bio-metric sensor will be placed. Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6 series devices house this security system on the home button in the front, whereas some other devices like HTC One Max (released in 2013) had the sensor on the back.
Later, OnePlus team posted a group selfie taken from the OnePlus 2. The photo looked crisp and clear. It covered five people and also covered lot in the back ground, thus hinting that the new phone will house wide-angle camera with full HD photo (& video) taking ability.

Other Expected Features of OnePlus 2
OnePlus 2 is said to ship with the Snapdragon 810 v2.0 SoC (System on Chip), 4GB/3GB RAM, 64GB (expandable), a 3,300 mAh battery, a 16mp camera on the rear-side and a 5mp snapper in the front.

Despite housing top-of-the-line hardware inside the body, OnePlus Two is rumoured to come with affordable price-tag of ¥2499 (around $403/€369/₹25,752).
OnePlus 2 is confirmed to make its debut on 27 July.
