Director AR Sajeev's Telugu movie Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi (OSSS) starring Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba has received mixed reviews and ratings from the audience around the world.

Om Shanthi Shanthi Shantihi is an official Telugu remake of the critically acclaimed 2022 Malayalam black comedy film, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Directed by A.R. Sajeev, the film focuses on themes of patriarchy and domestic abuse.

A satirical drama exploring a woman's journey as she stands up against her abusive husband and patriarchal norms through a comedic and empowering lens. While maintaining the core theme, the story is adapted to a Godavari backdrop to suit Telugu sensibilities, say the audience.

Om Shanthi Shanthi Shantihi offers a subtle, neat and fun in the first half in an authentic setup, but the second half is far less engaging and the ending is not satisfying. Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba's performance and chemistry are the highlights of the movie. The music is the attraction on the technical front, say the audience.

#OmShantiShantiShantihi Stays true to the core concept of the original, but the proceedings fail to remain engaging! Being a remake, the film gets the core idea right, and a few scenes built around this premise do work. However, the rest of the screenplay struggles to hold interest and remains largely ineffective for a theatrical watch. Performances by Tarun and Eesha are neat. Apart from a handful of moments, the comedy and overall impact that worked in the original fail to land here. Rating: 2.25/5

#OmShantiShantiShantihi tells a familiar story with clarity and restraint. The film does not rely on twists, but instead pulls the audience in through its grounded setting and steady tone. From the opening scenes, the atmosphere feels lived-in and sincere. The strongest element is Tharun Bhascker's performance. He plays a difficult character with control, allowing emotions to surface without excess. The dialogues are well-written and often elevate routine scenes. Eesha Rebba grows into her role as the film progresses, handling the emotional weight with conviction. The film loses some momentum in the second half. While the drama remains honest, the impact softens, especially near the climax, which feels underplayed. Rating : 2.75/5

#OSSS Review: Fun First Half, Fades Later It offers a subtle, neat and fun first half in an authentic setup but the second half is far less engaging and the ending isn't satisfying. Tharun Bhascker certainly shines as an actor, while the music and some well-written dialogues flow nicely. Watch it, but keep your expectations in check. 2.25/5

#OmShantiShantiShantihi - A warm family entertainer that leaves you smiling and thinking. Godavari slang never felt this effortless. #TharunBhascker lives the character, switching between humour and vulnerability with ease. @yourseesha is the emotional backbone - fierce, tender, unforgettable. The second-half confrontation is smart, funny, and reasonable. Well-Crafted Remake That Still Sparks Joy! #OmShantiShantiShantihi - 2.75/5 ⭐⭐¾ Smartly tackles the stigma around male privilege. Tharun Bhascker & Eesha Rebba deliver outstanding performances. A well-crafted remake that still makes you smirk even on a rewatch. While it misses the awe factor of the Malayalam original, but everything else works beautifully. Must watch!
