Telugu actor Nani, who shot to fame with SS Rajamouli's "Eega", has announced that he won't be able to host the audio launch of "Baahubali" due to a leg injury.
Nani, who was supposed to host the music release of "Baahubali", met with an accident and hurt his leg during the shooting of an action scene for director Maruthi Dasari's upcoming movie "Bale Bale Magadivoy" (BBM). On Friday night, the "Eega" star tweeted, "Leg injury in BBM climax action sequence.. Unable to be a part of #BaahubaliAudio .. My best wishes to the team and the fans on the launch."
The Baahubali team thanked him for his wishes for the event and also wished him a speedy recovery. On its official Twitter page, the team wrote, "Thank you so much @NameisNani for the wishes. We are also missing you at the event. Wishing you a speedy recovery :) #BaahubaliAudioLaunch."
Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli also confirmed that Nani will not attend the event due to the accident and popular anchor Suma will host the music release function of "Baahubali". The director tweeted, "Unfortunately Nani got hurt in his Shoot and is unable to make it to the event... It will be Suma garu all the way, tomorrow.."
The audio release of "Baahubali" was to take place in Hyderabad on 31 May. Nani had officially agreed to host this grand function. On 24 May, SS Rajamouli had tweeted, "Thanking our "Eega" for agreeing to do the anchoring for #Baahubali audio and trailer release function."
However, the music launch of "Baahubali" is the most awaited event of 2015 and a large number of fans will be attending it. Rajamouli and his team are very concerned about the safety of the fans and they did not want any unpleasant incident to take place at the function. So they postponed the event twice. Now, it is being held at Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupathi from 5.00 pm on 13 June.
