Though it was reported that Salman Khan will play the role of a dwarf in Aanand L Rai's next untitled film, latest buzz suggest that Shah Rukh Khan has replaced him. While the director recently approached SRK with the role, the actor is yet to offer any confirmation, Bollywoodlife reported.

Earlier, it was reported that the director confirmed his collaboration with Salman and they will start shooting as soon as Salman is free. "Salman will be playing a dwarf in the film. The movie will be shot against the backdrop of rural India like most of my films. I have come from a remote area. I was born in a middle-class family. My parents were school teachers and so that element of small town has played an important role in my films. My film with Salman too will be from the heartland of India," Aanand L Rai was quoted as saying earlier.

Although the director had confirmed his collaboration with Salman, he also stated that they were yet to finalise dates. According to latest reports, Salman walked out of the project owing to the lack of dates. And thus, the director is now keen to cast SRK.

However, SRK too has a tight schedule with a number of upcoming films including "Dilwale", "Raees" and "Fan".

Salman, who is currently reigning the box office with the success of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", has a couple of upcoming movies namely, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and "Sultan".
