Salman Khan's "Sultan" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" are scheduled to be released around the same time during 2016 Eid. Although it was almost confirmed that the two much-awaited flicks would clash at the box office, reports suggest the makers of "Raees" are planning to avoid it.

"Raees" co-producer, Ritesh Sidhwani, has said the issue will be discussed with the makers of Salman's "Sultan" to chalk out mutually-acceptable dates.

"Once both the films are done, we will sit and talk. Several films are announced but then the release dates are moved too," Pinkvilla quoted Ritesh Sidhwani as saying.

The producer further said the release dates of the two films coinciding is not 'intentional'.

"Eid is next year and our film has just 20 days of shooting left. We are working so that the film comes on Eid, because it is that kind of a film. Even the 'Sultan' team will also try for a similar plan but first let the shooting of their film begin and then we will see. There is no specific intention to have a clash," said Ritesh.

A few days ago, it was reported that Salman Khan has postponed the release date of "Sultan" from Eid to 2016 Diwali to avoid a box office clash with "Raees", but it turned out to be just a rumour.

Salman and Shah Rukh seem unperturbed by the likely box office clash, as suggested by their statements.

"We feel that if both the films come on Eid next year, there is enough time to build enough theatres to accommodate both of them. This will only make the industry grow," Salman had earlier said, when asked about the "Sultan"-"Raees" box office clash.

Although Shah Rukh had agreed that the clash would divide business, he was not worried about it. "There are 365 days in a year, which amounts to 54 Fridays and there are bound to be clashes. The business will get divided. But Salman and I are such good friends that we have decided to do everything together, including releasing the movies," the 49-year-old actor said.
