Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the latest song 'Hangover' from the film 'Kick'Facebook/Kick

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is on a roll after the year 2015 "Kick"ed off on a good note. The "Roy" actress, who has grabbed a role in Dharma Production's "Brothers", will reportedly act in another big project of the production house.

According to reports, Jacqueline has been approached to play the female lead role in Karan's upcoming film "Shhuddhi" starring Salman Khan.

"Karan seems to be keen on signing her for the film, in fact they were even discussing the project at a recent party where they had met. Jacqueline is now working out her dates for the movie," Absolute India quoted a source as saying.

If Jacqueline gives her nod, "Shhuddhi" will be her second film with Salman. Jacqueline shared screen space with Salman in 2014's blockbuster movie "Kick".

Several reports about the female lead star have been doing the rounds since the time Kareena Kapoor Khan opted out of the film.

There were reports that Deepika Padukone might be considered for the female lead in "Shhuddhi". BollywoodLife.com also reported that Karan, Salman and Deepika bonded well during the Filmfare Award, which points out that the two might be finalised for the lead.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the production team or the director Karan Malhotra.

Last year in July, Karan putting a rest to all the speculation announced that Salman has been finalised for the male lead in the film.
