Apple WWDC 2017
Non-developers can now use updated WWDC app without a registered accountApple Newsroom

It is that time of the year when Apple aficionados and developers look forward to hands-on labs with Apple certified engineers and interactive sessions with industry experts that help in building the next generation of apps. In preparation for the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple has recently rolled out the updated WWDC app with a bunch of curated video playlists, a new WWDC theme, and tonnes of interactive street maps.

This year's WWDC app comes with a new theme for the app's design, besides featuring the event's official schedule, venue information and an exhaustive number of playlist sections with each one of them represented by a unique colour for visual identification.

As 9To5Mac reports, this year's schedule is filled with incomplete details and dubious titles like last year's for several events that are not yet ready to be announced. For instance, you may come across events titled as "this session name hasn't been engaged yet", "to bee determined", and "nobody nose what to call this yet."

Here's what's new with the updated version of the app:

  • Watch curated video playlists focused on featured themes.
  • View interactive venue and street maps.
  • See important venue information in the new Venue tab.
  • Use all app features without signing in.

You can go ahead and download the latest version of the WWDC app for free via iOS App Store.
