It's been hardly three months since the Nokia X Android smartphone made its global debut but now the company seems to be getting ready to launch the next generation phone soon.

An unreleased phone - Nokia X2DS (RM-1013) - believed to be the successor of Nokia X has been spotted (courtesy, G4Games ) at benchmarking site AnTuTu, revealing the specifications of the device.

In the listing, the new Nokia phone is shown to feature a 4.3-inch WVGA (800x480) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 series dual-core CPU backed by Adreno 305 graphics engine, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage and also house a 5.0-megapixel main camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper on the front.

The listing also suggests the device would run on the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean, but in reality, the OS (operating system) is most certain to be a tweaked AOSP (Android Open Source Project) version, wherein proprietary Google apps such as Maps, Play store will be disabled, instead they all will be replaced by Nokia's very Here maps service, browsers and others, similar to what we see inside the current Nokia X series smartphones. They are certain to have some influence of Microsoft's Windows Phone OS such as Tile/metro based interface.

Going by the specifications, Nokia X2 seems to be a decent upgrade over its low-cost sibling, 'Nokia X'. If the new Nokia phone is released with competitive price-tag, it is certain expected to go neck-and-neck with popular Moto E and other local branded phones in India.

Company's first Android smartphone, Nokia X, which made its India debut in March for ₹8,599 is currently selling for ₹7,729 in the market. Despite, price-cut, it has failed sway consumers over rival MNC brand Motorola.

Earlier today (23 May), Moto E went on sale in India (via Flipkart) for the second time under two weeks. The response was so overwhelming that the website server crashed within half-hour of the launch. The website is yet to recover.

Priced just under ₹7,000 (in India), Moto E boasts hard polycarbonate body with 4.3-inch qHD (960x540p) screen having Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display shield and splash-resistant coating; no other smartphone under this price-range offer these kind of features.

Under the hood, it comes loaded with 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, 305 Adreno GPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB), a 5.0-megapixel camera and a 1980 mAh battery which can power the phone close to 24 hours under mixed usage.
