Nokia's latest budget smartphone Lumia 520, which was unveiled at the Mobile world Congress (MWC) in February, is expected to launch in India soon.

The Finnish company's India store has listed Lumia 520 as coming soon on its website. It is not clear exactly when the smartphone will come, but its listing on the company's official website is an indication that the launch in India is nearing.

The low-end Lumia 520 smartphone is said to be the cheapest windows phone 8 powered handset in the market. It sports a 4-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixel resolution and is powered by  a dual core 1.0GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with Adreno 305.

The handset comes with a 5-megapixel camera which can shoot 720p video and has 512MB of RAM along with 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable through the microSD card slot. The phone packs a 1,430mAh battery which is claimed to give 9.6 hours of talk time and standby time of 15 days.

The smartphone measures 9.9 mm in thickness and weighs 124g. It comes in cyan, red, white, black and yellow variants. The price of the phone for Indian market is not yet known. Reports suggest that the phone is likely to be priced in ₹12,000 bracket.

The phone is price £170 (including VAT and taxes) in the UK and will be available from 1 April.
