Tollywood is gearing up for six releases, including a dubbed film, but there will be a big clash among three movies like "Nenu Sailaja", "Abbai tho Ammai" and "Killing Veerappan" at the box office.

"Nenu Sailaja" is one of the most-hyped and highly-awaited Telugu movies. It is a romance drama and actor Ram is returning to his chocolate boy image after tasting failure with his mass role in 2015. Ram will be seen romancing Keerthi Suresh and its promos show that the sparkling chemistry between the two is going to be the main highlight of the movie.

"Nenu Sailaja" has been written and directed by debutante Kishore Tirumala and produced by Ravi Kishore under the banner Sri Sravanthi Movies. The makers of the film say that it is not a regular romance drama, but has an interesting love story told in an innovative manner. The audience will be able to relate with the lead characters of the movie.

"Abbai tho Ammai" is also a romantic entertainer, which is set in the current generation that is addicted to the social media networks. Ramesh Varma has written and directed the movie. Naga Shaurya and Palak Lalwani have played the lead roles, while Brahmanandam, prudhviraj, Tulsi, Pragathi, Mohan and Diksha Pant are in the supporting cast.

"Killing Veerappan" is another most-talked about South Indian movie. This film has garnered lot of public attention because it deals with the events that lead to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill forest brigand Veerappan. Besides direction, Ram Gopal Varma has also written the script for the movie and he has reportedly spent over 10 years on the research of the subject.

This movie is different from previous movie based on the life of Veerappan as it focuses more on the Superintendent of police, who masterminded Operation Cocoon. Kannada actor Shivaraj Kumar has played the police office, while Sandeep Bharadwaj appeared as Veerappan. Yagna Shetty has essayed the role of Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi, while Parul Yadav reprised an important role in it.

"Nenu Sailaja" and "Abbai tho Ammai" are romance drama films, while "Killing Veerappan" belongs to the genre of docudrama thriller film. All the three movies have almost equal amount of hype and promotions. They are being released in decent number of cinema halls across the globe on 1 January. The Tollywood would see its first battle of 2016 at the box office in this weekend.
