Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" kept the cash registers ringing at the US box office and has done better business than new release "Speedunnodu" in its fourth weekend.

"Nannaku Prematho" was screened in 19 cinema halls across North America in its third week. "Speedunnodu", "Bangalore Naatkal" and "Action Hero Biju" forced the Junior NTR film out of eight theatres in its fourth week. It had been predicted they would completely halt its collection this week.

But "Nannaku Prematho" is undeterred by the new releases and continues its run. The Sukumar-directed family drama movie collected $12,426 from 11 screens at the US box office in its fourth weekend. Its per-screen average stands at $1,129. With this, its 26-day total US collection has reached $2,010,455 (Rs 13.66 crore).

"Nannaku Prematho" has become the third Telugu film to cross the $2-million mark at the US box office after "Baahubali: The Beginning" and "Srimanthudu". Considering its current pace of collection, the movie will not be able to beat the record of "Srimanthudu", which is the second all-time highest grossing Telugu movie with a life-time collection of $2,882,809.

"Bangalore Naatkal" and "Speedunnodu" were released with a lot of hype and promotion, but they failed to live up to them. The Tamil movie has collected $11,696 (Rs 7.94 lakh) from 30 screens, while the Telugu film raked in $12,230 (Rs 8.31 lakh) from 40 screens at the US box office in its opening weekend.

Malayalam movie "Action Hero Biju" has done superb business despite a limited screen count. The film has collected $10,635 (Rs 7.23 lakh) from two screens at the US box office in the first weekend. Its per-screen average is $5,317, much higher than that of "Bangalore Naatkal" and "Speedunnodu", which have earned an average of $389 and $305 per screen, respectively.
