The movie has a dialogue, 'Ammayilu manasanthiki hanikaram' (girls are injurious to mental peace), reports Deccan Chronicle. When he was asked to react on the dialogue, Chalapathi Rao said, "Ammayilu hanikaram kadu kani pakkaloki panikostaru (girls are not harmful, but they are useful on bed)."

Nagarjuna was upset with his comment and took to Twitter to say, "I always respect women personally and in my films/I definitely do not agree wt Chalapati rao's derogatory comments/dinosaurs do not exist!!(sic)"

Meanwhile, Rakul  Preet Singh, who shared the stage with Chalapathi Rao, has given a clarification that she did not understand the meaning of his statement when he passed the objectionable remark. She tweeted, "Apologies 4 a late response 2 #ChalapathiRao comments!wish I understood d exact meanin of it then.I condemn it n my off stmnt wil b out soon. [sic]"

Her co-star Naga Chaitanya too reacted and tweeted, "Respecting women is a way of life for me.The reactions shown on TV weren't for the statement made.Do I agree with it ?Absolutely NOT !"

Telugu actor Ram Pothineni has also reacted to the issue. He says that his generation of people has a different view on women.

It may be recalled here that actor Ali had landed in a similar controversy earlier. Speaking at a film event, he had said, "Anushka has really remarkable thighs. Ever since I saw her in Billa, I became her fan." The comedian had also invited trouble when he compared actor Samantha's 'midriff to the Vijaywada's Benz circle.'

Coming to Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam, the movie is written and directed by Kalyan Krishna. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead in the film, which also stars Jagapathi Babu, Sampath Raj, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu and others.
