My children's never watched any of my films so far: Shalini Ajith Kumar

Shalini Ajith Kumar has revealed that her children have not watched any of her movies so far. Everytime she plans it, they postpone it saying that they will watch it later.

Shalini Ajith Kumar was addressing a recent award function, when she complained of her children not watching her films. She said that she will use this opportunity to tell her children to watch her films.

Shalini said, "I'm going to use this opportunity to tell my children, please can you just watch 1 film of mine. My children's never watched any of my films so far. Every time we plan it, they say, 'Mom, we'll watch it later,' and postpone it. Recently, my daughter came to me and said, 'Mom, my friend told me about your film Alaipayuthey. The story sounded really beautiful. I want to watch that film with you.' But even that didn't happen."

Shalini added, "Today, when I told my son that I was going to present an award, he was interested. I said, 'Shall we at least watch one of my films?' He replied, 'We'll see.' I even told them that it was through the film Amarakkalam that I met your father. Still, they said we could watch it later."

Ajith started dating his co-star Shalini during the shoot of Saran's Amarkkalam in 1999. He proposed to her in June 1999 and they were married in April 2000 in Chennai. They have two children together: a daughter named Anoushka Kumar (born 2008) and a son named Aadvik (born 2015).
