American technology firm, Motorola has officially announced the company's flagship smartphone Moto X 64 GB variant.

Despite heaping critical acclaim, Moto X received lukewarm response from the public. With the announcement of the new big 64GB storage variant, Motorola seems to be trying to reinvigorate lagging sales ahead of the Moto X successor launch, which is slated to take place this summer (probably around August or September).

The new Moto X 64GB (with-out contract) is priced at $449 (around ₹26,500), $50 and $100 higher than the 32GB and 16GB models respectively. Besides the usual custom personalization (via Moto Maker), the company is also offering a deal -'Try Then Buy', which lets prospective customers to take the phone home for a two week trial with payment of $0.01. If they are not happy with the performance of the device, they can then return it.

As of now, the 64GB Moto X variant is only available in USA and there is no official word on whether the device will be released in global markets.

Besides the increase in storage capacity, new Moto X comes packed with same specification seen inside the other variants. It flaunts 4.7-inch energy efficient AMOLED display with pixel density of 329 ppi and also boasts special water repellant nano-coating inside and outside.

Under the hood, it houses a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU with two special utility cores- a natural language processor core and a contextual processor core, which enables the phone to perform some great tricks, which no other high-end phones (Samsung Galaxy S5 and Apple iPhone 5S) in the industry can boast off.
