Motorola has been teasing the upcoming launch of its fourth generation Moto G smartphone, dubbed G4, but rumours are getting more specific on the details of what we might see in the new budget device. The Lenovo-owned smartphone maker is expected to launch the Moto G4 in India on May 17, when all the official details about its pricing, availability and specifications will come to light. Until then, rumours are fulfilling fans' thirst for more details.

The latest teaser comes from an eBay listing, which was pointed to the International Business Times, India by motog3.com, showing the front panel of the device. The listing on the auction site clearly mentions the Moto G4 name and what appears to be the touch digitiser LCD display assembly. If we look closely, the connector reads 5.5-inch Full HD display, which is expected to be the size and resolution of the Moto G4.

The front panel also features a cutout for a physical home button, which is uncommon for Moto G series unless the company is planning to integrate a fingerprint sensor. It would make sense since Lenovo had confirmed that all Motorola phones coming this year will have biometric sensor.

Motorola has also participated in the teasers as it hinted at a superior camera with bigger lens sensor to allow more light and capture high-quality images. Prior to that, the company had teased a fast autofocus feature for the upcoming G4. Motorola also started contests with the hashtags #MissingMoments and #MissingPower where users can share photos that were ruined due to the lack of a good camera or when the phones shut down due to poor battery.

All this hints to a better and upgraded successor to the Moto G (3rd generation). Assuming the rumours are true, Motorola might launch two variants of Moto G4, one of which is going to be superior. The rumoured G4 Plus is expected to come with a 16MP snapper while the standard 13MP camera will embrace the G4 variant. A 5MP snapper will be a standard for both the devices. The premium variant is going to boast 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration while the G4 will have 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.

More details are expected to be revealed at the upcoming event on May 17, for which the company has already started sending out invites. The event is scheduled to be held in New Delhi.
