Pune-based two-wheeler maker Bajaj's Pulsar CS400 is inching closer to its launch in the country. The Pulsar CS400, probably the first offering of Bajaj in the power cruiser segment, has been performing its test runs in the country for quite a while now. Caught on camera countless times already, a fresh batch of images of the model has hit the web once again, this time also revealing the red body paint of the model.

Snapped by Indian Autos Blog, the Pulsar CS400, which is currently believed to be in its final testing, is expected to make its entry into the market in the third quarter -- July-September period. The prototype of the Pulsar CS400 indicates dual channel ABS. However, it is yet to be known whether BS will come as standard or optional.

While the overall styling and design looks similar to the concept, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2014, the production version of the Pulsar CS400 is expected to sport minor tweaks.

The images show the front-end of the bike and also clearly show the split seats. Other features expected include disc brakes for both the front and the rear and it is likely to feature LED headlamps, digital instrument panel and LED taillight. The Pulsar CS400 is also expected to get twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank and wide tyres.

Powering the upcoming Pulsar CS400 is likely to be a 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark engine and come mated to six-speed transmission with fuel injection. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
