Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is leaving on a business trip to China in the third week of May, may not be able to make it to the wedding of Telugu actor Manchu Manoj.

Along with his family members Vishnu, Manoj and Lakshmi Manchu, senior Tollywood actor Mohan Babu met Narendra Modi at his office in New Delhi on 21 April and gave him the invitation card for his youngest son's wedding, which will take place in Hyderabad on 20 May, which is also the 32nd birthday of the groom-to-be.

Narendra Modi, who took some time off from his busy schedule and cordially welcomed the Manchu family at his residence, accepted the invitation for Manoj's wedding. "It was a casual meeting and we are happy that he agreed to meet us despite his busy schedule. Modiji said he'll try to make it to the wedding if he's in India," The Times of India quoted Vishnu Manchu as saying.

But, Narendra Modi is visiting China between 14 and 16 May and is likely to extend his tour to Mongolia and South Korea after visiting China. So the PM may not be able to make it to this Tollywood family event. "He has said that he might be in China on an official trip," Vishnu Manchu added.

With just a month left for the wedding, the Manchu family has already started preparing for the big day. They have the wedding invitations ready and distribution of the cards has started. The invitation card bears a royal look has been designed by a Srikalahasti-based artist.

Narendra Modi, who was impressed by the design of the card, expressed his desire to buy a few paintings of the artist. "Modi was curious to know who had done the art work on the wedding card and when I told him that it is by Ramesh Gorjala, a renowned artist from Srikalahasti, he expressed his desire to buy his paintings," Manchu Manoj told The Times of India.

After visiting Narendra Modi's residence, the Manchu family shared some photos on their Twitter handles and expressed their happiness over their meeting with the PM. The photos, which went viral on the net, surprised Manchu family fans as well as many Tollywood celebrities, who were eagerly waiting to meet and greet him on the wedding day.
