The 64th annual Miss Universe pageant has been off to a great start, and the contestants have made a mark with the judges and fans with their beauty and talent at The AXIS in Planet Hollywood. So far, the contestants have taken part in the Preliminary and National Costume Shows, which also included the evening gown and swimwear rounds.
Judges for the priliminary round include IMG Global Fashion Communications V-P Erika Albies, film and TV producer Julio Caro, "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Nischelle Turner, WME/IMG Digital Partnerships director Keiko Uraguchi, Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady, marketing expert Zak and Soreff entrepreneur Rocky Motwani.
After a brilliant show put up by all the beautiful women, the judges selected 15 finalists for the Miss Universe competition. This year, Miss Universe Myanmar May Bayani Thaw impressed viewers by getting back up and prompting the audience while walking the stage in her gown.
According many fans, May Bayani Thaw, along with other Asian Miss Universe contestants, are most likely to be among the top 10 finalists. Here are some comments from fans:
Torre Imtiaz: I don't really have favorite but I gotta say India is GORGEOUSAlso, I think Mexico, USA , Vietnam , Great Britain , Philippines , Venezuela , Brazil , Thailand and Peru are drop-dead gorgeous. All of them will make the top 10 hopefully!! But again India had me like WOW! I know she is not a favorite but she is definitely a dark horse. ALL THE BEST!!
