Urvashi Rautela, who created history by winning the Miss Universe India title twice, is all set to represent India at the global platform.
Bollywood actress and Miss Diva Universe 2015 winner Rautela is all set to begin her journey towards the beauty pageant, Miss Universe 2015.
Rautela, who hails from Uttrakhand, was crowned the winner of Miss Diva in October this year. The beauty queen is excited to represent India at the 63rd edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant, which will be held at Las Vegas, USA, in December.
Rautela will compete with other 81 beauties from across the globe for the Miss Universe 2015 title. The finale of Miss Universe will take place on 20 December and the winner will take home a cash prize of $50,000.
Talking about her preparations for the beauty pageant, Rautela said that she is hoping to bring back the crown.
"I am extremely ecstatic to be able to represent my country at this prestigious International pageant called Miss Universe. It's a big responsibility for me and I am going to deliver my best. India has witnessed two beauties being crowned in the past and I am hoping to bring the glory back to the country. I would also like to thank the Miss India Organization for all their support and together, we have left no stone unturned for the preparation of this pageant. I hope to live up to the nation's expectations," Rautela said in a statement.
To win the crown, Rautela will be seen competing for various sub titles, including National Costume, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Congeniality.
Meanwhile, former Miss Universe Lara Dutta gifted a crown-shaped diamond ring to Rautela, which she considers to be her lucky charm.
"I am excited with all the support I have been getting and Lara's gesture was touching, heartening and personal. The ring is very special for me. Shaped like a tiara, it embodies good will and wishes. I wear it all the time," she told The Times of India.
