Lakshmi Menon has paired up with Jayam Ravi in "Miruthan." The Tamil movie has Kaali Venkat, RNR Manohar, Jeeva Ravi, Babu Anikha and others in the cast. D Imman has composed the music, S Venkatesh has handled the cinematography and KJ Venkat Ramanan has edited the flick, which is jointly bankrolled by S Michael Rayappan and M Seraphin.

Jayam Ravi had a fantastic 2015, with three out of four films, "Sakalakala Vallavan," "Thani Oruvan," "Romeo Juliet" and "Bhooloham," turning out as hits at the box office. So, his latest movie "Miruthan" is riding on huge expectations.

The trailer of "Miruthan" had become a big hit, thereby drawing huge attention of the audience. Jayam Ravi's avatar was appreciated and the video-clip managed to garner good response. As the genre is something new in Kollywood, people are curiously waiting for the film to hit the screens.

"Miruthan" revolves around nature versus human concept. The story is set in Ooty, where a traffic cop Karthik played by Jayam Ravi is living with his little sister Vidhya (Anikha). Their town is severely affected by a virus, which turns humans into zombies.

It all started after a chemical from an industry gets leaked and it was consumed by a dog, turning it into a zombie. It bites the watchman of the company and he too becomes a blood-thirsty animal.  In no time, the virus spreads across the city. What happens next is the interesting part of the story.

#Miruthan — Too simple. 1st tamil zombie film, hell yeah with interesting concept but execution is weak link despite being straightforward.
#Miruthan — @actor_jayamravi's performance is a big plus.Comedy + sister sentiment is what works largely in favour of the film.Otherwise ok.
#Miruthan — On the other hand, loved the songs visually and Imman's BGM. The film scores some brownie points in this dept. Top class VFX..!!
#Miruthan : Wish director works more on char establishment. Felt the same for #NaaigalJaakirathai. Hope #Miruthan2 is even bigger & better.
