Metal-clad OnePlus 3T with revised internal hardware launched [Key upgrades over OnePlus 3]

After weeks of speculations, OnePlus finally pulled the wraps off the new smartphone, OnePlus 3T. It is the upgraded version of the original OnePlus 3 model, which was launched just five months back.

Key improvements in the OnePlus 3T have been made in the processor, front camera, internal storage and battery capacity. It comes with faster 2.35GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core CPU, which is also said to be 10 percent more efficient than the Snapdragon 820 seen in its elder sibling.

It also houses a 16MP front-camera with Samsung sensor, a huge upgrade over 8MP snapper we see in OnePlus 3.

On the back, it houses the same 16MP primary but with an improved image-processing capability.

Another department, which gets an upgrade in terms of capacity is the battery. OnePlus 3T comes packed with 3,400mAh — 13 percent more than the original model. It also boasts Dash Charge technology, which can charge the phone from zero to 60 percent within 30 minutes. It is said to be enough to play more than seven hours of full HD video.

Besides the standard 64GB storage, OnePlus 3T will be offered in 128GB as well. But it will be made available later in the year.

The rest of the features, such as design language, body material, display resolution OS and RAM capacity, remain the same.

OnePlus 3T price and specifications:

OnePlus 3T (64GB) will be initially made available in the Unites States and CA regions on November 22 for $439 and will be released later in Europe for €439 (£399 in UK) at OnePlus stores. It will come in Gun Metal and Soft Gold colour options.

So far, there is no word on when OnePlus 3T will be rolled out in other markets, including India.
